Aleister Black Out Of Action After Suffering Groin Injury At NXT Live Event

Aleister Black is out of action after suffering an injury to his groin at last Saturday’s NXT live event in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com. The injury required surgery, which he underwent.

The injury occurred during a match against NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, who struck him in the groin.
Ciampa beat Black to retain the title in the main event of the show.

It was noted that Black will be OK but the situation was described as “quite scary” when it happened.

There’s no word yet on how long Black will be out of action and whether this will prevent him from wrestling at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4 on August 18. While this match has yet to be announced by WWE, Black is expected to defend the NXT Championship against Black and Johnny Gargano at the event.

Black has not tweeted about the injury but he did post a storyline tweet regarding this week’s episode of NXT, where he wiped out Gargano with the Black Mass after Gargano ejected Ciampa from the ring.

Black also tweeted this on Monday.
