AEW Collision, a new weekly Saturday night two-hour program on TNT, will premiere on June 17 as a new weekly Saturday night two-hour program on AEW. They have advertised CM Punk, Miro, Samoa Joe, Thunder Rosa, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Andrade El Idolo, among others.

Andrade was a name that stood out to fans because he had been out since September with a torn pec and had surgery in November. He was also sent home by AEW in October after a backstage brawl with Sammy Guevara.

As PWMania.com previously reported, Andrade will return to the ring on June 15 in Mexico at the Olimpico Laguna Arena in a three-way fight with Cibernetico and Psycho Clown.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reports that Andrade was backstage at the May 10 Dynamite event, where he was supposed to appear in a segment similar to what Miro and Thunder Rosa did as they walked into AEW President Tony Khan’s office. However, according to the report, “he didn’t want to do that segment, but weren’t told why.”

The following week, he was backstage at Dynamite to film a backstage segment for social media.

Andrade had been training in the ring since before the Dynamite event on May 10th, but he wasn’t ready to wrestle at the time.
