Drew McIntyre will be back at work this week.
McIntyre is now included in creative plans for Friday’s WWE SmackDown, according to PWInsider, after missing live events this weekend due to a bad case of food poisoning.
McIntyre is also expected to hit the road this weekend for the live events.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, McIntyre was feeling better at the start of this week and was looking forward to getting back to the gym on Monday. On Sunday, he was also able to eat for the first time. McIntyre was also scheduled to do media in the middle of the week to promote WWE Royal Rumble tickets.
McIntyre was already feeling bad when he did the angle with Karrion Kross and Scarlett on last Friday’s SmackDown, which included Scarlett’s botched fireball to the face.
WWE Extreme Rules is set to feature McIntyre vs. Kross in a Strap Match on Saturday, October 8.
