Kyle O’Reilly made his surprise return to AEW immediately following the AEW International Championship Match at Sunday night’s 2024 Revolution PPV after being out of in-ring action since June 2022 due to injury and neck fusion surgery.
O’Reilly did not take the Undisputed Kingdom shirt when it was given to him in a post-match segment and instead he whispered something to Roderick Strong and walked away.
According to Fightful Select, a different direction has been in the works for O’Reilly over the past number of months which was seen when he was sporting a new look at Revolution. There will be other elements that will be different for him as well.
