A report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reveals that the original plans for WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event included significant promotion of the show, along with a live concert by Lil Yachty, which was intended to be one of the main attractions.
However, the concert has since been canceled. This decision followed feedback regarding related segments from the previous edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. WWE has decided to focus more on the in-ring product for next month’s event. Nonetheless, both Yachty and Trick Williams are still expected to play important roles in the event, as indicated in the promotional materials. Since Yachty is from Atlanta, Georgia, it makes sense for WWE to promote the show around him.
Currently, Trick Williams is not officially advertised or scheduled for a match at Sunday Night’s Main Event. The event will take place on Sunday, September 6th, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. It will stream live on Peacock in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
