This past Saturday’s WWE King and Queen of the Ring 2024 PLE from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia saw Liv Morgan defeat “The Man” Becky Lynch to become the new Women’s World Champion and Morgan defeated The Man yet again on last night’s RAW in a Steel Cage Match to successfully retain her championship in her first-ever title defense.

Fightful Select reports that Lynch has not signed a new contract with WWE as of this writing, so last night’s Steel Cage Match could be her last match until that is sorted out. Lynch officially becomes a free agent on June 1st and the expectation is that she will receive the biggest contract offer of any woman in pro wrestling history, but whether she signs the contract or not is unknown. There’s no word yet on what the delay is in Lynch re-signing with WWE, but in wrestling anything can happen and Lynch can end up in a different promotion.

Once Lynch’s deal expires, other pro wrestling companies, including AEW and TNA, will be legally free to talk with her and make her an offer and if Lynch does decide to sign elsewhere, then that would be a huge loss for WWE because of how beloved she is with the fans and her peers and how she is a needle and ratings mover.

Immediately following last night’s RAW, Lynch was very emotional as she waved goodbye to the crowd in attendance before heading to the back. Lynch also took to her official Twitter (X) account after that and shared a photo of herself walking out of the arena with the caption, “To Be Continued.”
