RevPro held its 14-Year Anniversary event on Saturday, August 29th, at the OVO Arena Wembley in London, England. The show aired live on MyAEW, except for the match between TNA Wrestling star Leon Slater and Liam Slater, which Leon Slater ultimately won.
There was some speculation that TNA Wrestling influenced the decision not to air this match on the AEW-owned platform, especially since TNA president Carlos Silva had previously pulled TNA talent from matches with AEW talent earlier this year. However, in a daily update from F4WOnline.com on Sunday, RevPro’s Andy Quildan clarified that the decision was his own.
Additionally, the report mentioned that the Leon Slater vs. Liam Slater match will be uploaded to YouTube soon. Quildan indicated that there were “no direct instructions” preventing the match from being broadcast on MyAEW; rather, he chose to avoid potential issues. The match did air on RevPro’s own stream.
TNA Wrestling also issued a statement to Wrestling Noticias, stating, “TNA Wrestling was not involved with that event or match, including fans seeing said match or not seeing it.”
