Bellator MMA star “Master” Valerie Loureda is reportedly signing with WWE.
According to Fightful Select, Loureda is expected to sign with WWE if she hasn’t already. As recently as mid-May, she was training at the WWE Performance Center.
Loureda made a favorable impression on WWE officials and was hailed as a “slam dunk” to join the company. WWE hopes to get Loureda signed and at the WWE Performance Center by mid-July.
Loureda recently participated in a week-long tryout at the WWE Performance Center, although she has been training in Florida since WrestleMania 38 under former WWE stars Gangrel, Neilo Costa, and others. Loureda has also recently been seen with WWE NXT talent, and rumor is that she looked excellent.
Loureda, who is 23 years old, has a 4-1 pro MMA record. She last fought on November 12, 2021, at Bellator 271, where she won a split decision over Taylor Turner. She also has a 2-1 amateur mixed martial arts record.
Loureda is a flyweight fighter who last weighed 127.6 pounds. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall with a 64-inch reach. Her foundation style is Taekwondo, and she is a member of the American Top Team. Loureda is based in Miami and attended Florida International University previously.
According to reports, Bellator wanted to keep Loureda on the roster, thus her contract will be put on hold until she is released by WWE.
