Bruce Prichard recently spoke on his podcast, “Something To Wrestle With,” about a variety of professional wrestling topics including Ken Shamrock challenging JBL in the ring before a show:

“Ken’s like, ‘Bradshaw, come on in here man. I will lay down. You put any hold on me that you want to put on me and I will beat your ass.’ John’s like, ‘Well God damn Mr. Shamrock. I don’t want to hurt you or anything.’ He said, ‘John, come on.’ Ken laid down in the middle of the ring, legs spread, arms spread, and John got in and John kicked him a little bit to see if he was moving and Ken didn’t flinch. John gets down on all fours. He grabs an arm and grabs a leg and he’s trying to figure out what he’s going to do and how he’s going to do it. All of a sudden, he sits there on his hands and knees and he says, ‘I don’t know any holds.’ John didn’t know what to do. Ken would have laid there for him. Finally, Ken showed him how to put on an armbar or some kind of sh*t. John had it locked in and Ken said, ‘Okay, you sure you got me?’ ‘I think so.’ ‘Let me know when you’re sure.’ ‘Okay, I got you’, and in about five seconds, Kenny had reversed it and Bradshaw was tapping. It was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Steve Blackman’s fight with JBL:

“Blackman was one that actually got into a fight at baggage claim. He (JBL) had been harassing Steve Blackman just so much and egging Steve on. They were at baggage claim and everybody was tired and everything else and somebody like either goosed Blackman or did something to Blackman. Blackman thought it was Bradshaw and Steve had hit Bradshaw like eight times before John even realized he was in a fight. He stepped in a bag, fell down, it was horrible. It was a horrible thing. They all apologized and hugged it out that day at TV.”
