WWE United States Champion Chelsea Green recently joined The Sports Agents podcast, hosted by Gabby Logan and Mark Chapman, where she shared her thoughts on how things have evolved for women in WWE since Triple H took over from Vince McMahon.
Discussing the differences between eras, Green reflected on the journey of womenโs wrestling:
โIf weโre talking Vince vs. Triple H, weโre also talking Attitude Era vs. now. Weโre talking Divas vs. women. Weโre talking about Trish Status vs. me. Thereโs so many answers to that question. First of all, we would not be here without that side of things. We in 2025 would not have the success that we have if it wasnโt for that Attitude Era.โ
Green credited trailblazers like The Bella Twins, Trish Stratus, and Mickie James for paving the way for the current generation of female wrestlers. She expressed gratitude for their contributions while highlighting the stark differences between the past and present.
โI canโt speak on what their era was like because I wasnโt there, but now in this new era, I know that I come to work. I love my job. I feel safe. I feel supported. Triple H makes women specifically feel absolutely equal to men. Thatโs why I love to come to work. Thatโs why I feel so supported and so seen is because we are out there main eventing WrestleManiaโs now. Something that unfortunately that previous era didnโt get to experience. They set the table for us and now weโre sitting at it and enjoying these amazing meals and I couldnโt be happier.โ
Greenโs comments underscore the significant strides womenโs wrestling has made in WWE, evolving from the Divas era to the current landscape where women regularly headline major events.
