Darby Allin Plans To Finish His Career In AEW, Reacts To Jeff Hardy Comparisons

Darby Allin has made it abundantly clear that he will remain with AEW for the foreseeable future, after AEW President Tony Khan gave him his big break.

Allin stated to Jon Chuckery that he has no plans to leave the promotion:

“I’m super stoked on everything and my whole growth with but just them just letting me be me. And plus, I’ve always I’ve I haven’t shied away from this. I always tell Tony maybe I’m the worst businessman in professional wrestling because there’s never going to be a bidding war for Darby Allin. That’s because I love it. I love AEW so much. I ain’t playing games, I’m not going to try and say, ‘Oh, what if I went somewhere else?’ No, I’m just being real. Darby Allin is going to live and die in AEW.”

Allin was also asked about comparisons to Jeff Hardy:

“I’m my own self. I’m inspired by, like, skateboarding, punk rock, all those things, like, action sports. I trust me. I love Jeff more than anybody growing up. But when I made it like actually starting to be a professional wrestler, I never once was like, ‘Yo, I got to be just like Jeff Hardy.’ I was more like, ‘Hey, I got to beat the first Darby Allin.’ And I’ve focused really hard on that, too.”
