Dax Harwood’s Latest Social Media Post Fuels WWE Return Rumors

Dax Harwood fueled rumors of his WWE return significantly with an Instagram Stories post.

On Monday night, Harwood took to Twitter and Instagram to share a photo from his home, in which some of his title belts and plaques are displayed. Harwood commented on the photo, which included a bottle of Cazcanes Tequila, saying he was looking forward to breaking the seal on the bottle.

The corner of a white paper can be seen at the bottom of the photo on Twitter. However, the same photo posted to Harwood’s Instagram Stories was not as heavily cropped, revealing that the paper is some sort of letter or other WWE paper, possibly a contract.

Harwood has not commented on the photo as of this writing, but fans speculate that it was done on purpose. There is no confirmation of what the paper was or its age. It could be a contract from FTR’s first stint with WWE, or something completely different. Both photos are shown below.

FTR is currently away from the AEW storylines after requesting a break, which was granted by AEW President Tony Khan, as Harwood explained at this link. Harwood and Cash Wheeler’s AEW contracts were set to expire in April, but it’s possible that the current time off will result in an automatic extension of the contracts, though this has yet to be confirmed.

There have been rumors about FTR returning to WWE, but they have expressed interest in returning to the indies for a limited run away from TV. Harwood also stated that he and Cash are looking into potential locations for a wrestling school, as well as a coffee shop project and real estate ventures.

FTR, who have been best friends for a long time, first formed their tag team on the WWE NXT brand after Harwood signed with the company in 2012 and Wheeler in 2014. They received their WWE releases on April 10, 2020, and will make their AEW debut in May 2020. While still with WWE in 2019, FTR reportedly turned down offers of $850,000 each. Former WWE Talent Relations head Mark Carrano stated at one point that he could have negotiated their contracts to be worth $1 million each before they left for AEW.
