Drew McIntyre has blacked out his Twitter profile picture, banner, and all WWE references in his bio, leaving fans wondering what caused his sudden social media blackout.
McIntyre’s WWE contract expires this year, and the former WWE Champion plans to wait until closer to the expiration date to sign a new contract because there are several ‘factors’ for him to consider. At this point, the two parties are said to be ‘far apart’ on a new agreement.
It’s unclear why McIntyre changed his Twitter profile as of this writing.
While fans speculate that the abrupt move is a protest or a hint at McIntyre’s possible exit from WWE, it’s unclear whether it’s for a storyline arc or a real-life reason.
It should be noted that McIntyre’s Twitter handle remains @DMcIntyreWWE, and his Instagram handle has not changed.
