WWE Hall of Famer and former WCW President Eric Bischoff took on an episode of his 83 Weeks podcast, where he talked about a number of topics including former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon having a breakfast meeting with TKO President Mark Shapiro.
Bischoff said, โVince isnโt going to sell. We know that. You know, are we surprised that Vince put on a happy face and was completely professional in in the words of Shapiro? That doesnโt surprise me at all. Thatโs Vince, heโs a proโs pro. And heโs not going to sell. He may have wanted to rip Shapiroโs throat out, but the only person thatโll know that would be Vince. He wouldnโt sell it. So no, and look โ take it to face value. Thereโs no reason not to take it at face value. And I hope all of that is true. I hope Vince is chilling. Not that heโs kicking back, but I hope that heโs starting to relax a little bit and is able to focus on the things that are important. And clearly getting rid of this litigation is going to be at the top of his list. And maybe then weโll see what Vince is all about and where heโs going. But good for him, I guess. As good as it could be under the circumstances.โ
On if he was surprised WWE NXT beat AEW Dynamite in the ratings:
โNo, Iโm not surprised when I read the ratings at all. NXT is a hotter brand, itโs that simple. So I wasnโt surprised at the outcome in terms of the ratings. I didnโt know much about it creatively going in, and I wasnโt able to see it because I was actually traveling here to Los Angeles on Wednesday. So I did not get a chance to see it, but heard a lot about it, read a lot about it. Congratulations to NXT.โ
