On next Friday’s episode of SmackDown, Max Dupri will announce his first client for the Maximum Male Models agency.
Last week, the former LA Knight said that he will present his first model on this week’s SmackDown, but the segment was nixed. On commentary, Michael Cole explained the storyline, stating that Dupri was unable to attend SmackDown last night due to “travel difficulties in Europe.” Cole then revealed that the announcement will take place next week.
“After busting on the scene several weeks ago and building major anticipation about this coming Maximum Male Mode, Max Dupri is finally ready to welcome his first client into the fold!” WWE wrote in their official preview.
Dupri did post to Instagram on Thursday, as seen below.
Next week’s SmackDown will also see the continuation of the Madcap Moss vs. Happy Baron Corbin rivalry, although it should be the end of the feud. The match between Moss and Corbin will be a “Last Laugh” match.
The “Last Laugh” stipulation has not been clarified by WWE, however their official match preview stated the following, “The bitter rivalry between Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin has produced immense destruction. With the dust still setting on the epic No Holds Barred Match won by Moss at WWE Hell in a Cell, the adversaries will face off in a Last Laugh Match.”
On May 8, Moss defeated Corbin at WrestleMania Backlash, then on the June 3 SmackDown, Corbin defeated Moss by disqualification. On June 5, Moss beat Corbin in a Hell In a Cell No Holds Barred match.
The blue brand qualifiers for the Money In the Bank Ladder Matches for men and women will resume next week. By defeating Xia Li this week, Lacey Evans qualified for the women’s match, leaving seven spots open. Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus took place, however the match ended in a No Contest. Later, both Superstars wanted to be added to the MITB match, but Adam Pearce stated he’d think about it.
