Some wrestlers who leave WWE take a break from the business or join another major promotion such as AEW or NJPW, while others work in smaller promotions or even the independent scene.
In WWE, Cassie Lee, then known as Peyton Royce, joined Jessica McKay, then known as Billie Kay, to form the tag team known as The IIconics. They joined Impact Wrestling in October 2021 as The IInspiration after being fired by WWE, where they enjoyed success and once held the Knockouts Tag Team titles. Before Lee gave birth to her first child with Shawn Spears last year, they left the promotion in 2022.
Lee will return to the ring for World Series Wrestling in Australia. She will be taking part in their upcoming Full Throttle tour from October 6–13, according to the promotion.
Additionally confirmed for the competition are The Motor City Machine Guns, Frankie Kazarian, Brian Cage, Speedball Mike Bailey, Matt Cardona, and Steph De Lander.
In response to the news, Lee tweeted, “Let’s grapple!,” along with a gif that said, “And I’m back in the game!”
