AEW’s Frankie Kazarian has a golden opportunity at tonight’s Impact Wrestling’s Bound For Glory PPV as faces “Speedball” Mike Bailey for the X Division Championship. Kazarian, who is a 5 time X Division Champion, became the #1 contender for that title at Impact’s Victory Road as he won a Triple Threat Revolver match which featured numerous top Impact stars.
His appearance at Victory Road was Kazarian’s first after a 3 month absence. Speaking with Metro, Kazarian discussed his Impact Wrestling return and why he wants to help the brand:
“I see a lot of the crew and the production people – guys and girls that I grew up with in the business. There’s still a part of that, kinda the old familiar – the faces have changed, the production is different, the regime is different, but it’s still IMPACT Wrestling. I still have roots there and I’ll do whatever I can to continue to help that brand. I’m where I am in a lot of ways because of what IMPACT Wrestling and TNA did for my career,” Kazarian said.
Kazarian also noted he does not plan to leave Impact Wrestling after Bound For Glory:
“Well, I’m fighting for the X Division Title and I plan on winning the X Division title. So yes, you’re gonna see more from me, because I plan on winning the new version. I want to be the guy to come back and reclaim his throne,” he said.
We will find out if Frankie Kazarian becomes a 6 time X Division Champion at tonight’s Impact PPV Bound For Glory which kicks off at 8 pm EST.
