HOOK Considering Free Agency Options After AEW Contract Ends This Year

According to reports, one of AEW’s rising stars is looking into his options.

According to Michael Shalik of SEScoops.com, the second-generation star (real name Tyler Senerchia) is considering free agency. According to the report, someone familiar with WWE’s recruitment strategy stated, “I can clearly see WWE being interested in him.”

HOOK, the son of WWE and ECW legend Taz, has been with AEW since 2020. He started his run undefeated. He is currently working on a program with Chris Jericho. They’ve been working together for a few weeks, but on this week’s night’s show, HOOK decided he’d had enough with the veteran. The program appears to be planning a future singles match for pay-per-view.

AEW has attracted a large number of names this year, and WWE is also looking to sign some of their talent as it becomes available.

Last weekend, at the NXT Stand & Deliver media scrum, Shawn Michaels stated that he would like to bring in names from other promotions. He did not name anyone specifically, but stated that he sees people in other companies with a lot of talent who he believes would thrive in the WWE system.
