As PWMania.com previously reported, All Elite Wrestling has confirmed a Canadian tour, which will include the second installment of the Forbidden Door pay-per-view event with NJPW.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a match between Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay is currently planned for the crossover event.
Omega and Ospreay met previously at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17, where Omega defeated Ospreay to win the IWGP United States Championship. However, it was reported at the time that they held back in the match on purpose in order to continue the feud later.
Ospreay recently sustained a shoulder injury and was forced to withdraw from the New Japan Cup. At this time, the extent of his injury is unknown.
On June 25, 2023, the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event will take place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
