WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett, who is also All Elite Wrestlingโ€™s Director of Business Development, took to an episode of his โ€œMy World with Jeff Jarrettโ€ podcast, where he talked about a number of topics including if Vince McMahon is the pioneer of PPV Events.

Jarrett said, โ€œNo question. I truly donโ€™t even think thereโ€™s a distant second.โ€

WWE moving away from PPV Events and shifting to streaming platforms like Peacock and the WWE Network:

โ€œAnd thatโ€™s the thing WWE outgrew the pay-per-view business. And then itโ€™s not that they said no more because, look, AEW is living, breathing proof that the pay-per-view model is very lucrative. And it is to me the growth, the stage of growth that any company is in. Itโ€™s to me itโ€™s just that simple. The stage of growth. WWE got to a point where they outgrew it in a sense; how can we maximize revenue and also what you just said when youโ€™re publicly traded folks that are going to invest in your company on stocks? They want a guaranteed deal.โ€
