Kaizen Pro Wrestling Results (5/20/2023); Dan “Reverso” Pizzano Crowned New Champion

On May 20th, Kaizen Pro Wrestling returned to the Aldernay Landing Theatre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia to present another big show in front of a packed house.

The event featured a huge Triple Threat Kaizen Pro Wrestling Championship match as the champion and undefeated Remi Petit defended the title against indy star Dan “Reverso” Pizzano and Kaizen Pro Wrestling crowd favorite Bobby Boyette. When all was said and done, it was Pizzano who pinned Petit to win the match and title after hitting his finisher Setting Sun which was previously called the Five Star Frog Splash Moonsault.

PWMania.com caught up with Dan “Reverso” Pizzano and asked him about his Kaizen Pro Wrestling Title win. Here is what he had to say:

“It’s the second championship that I’ve one, and it’s the second province that I’ve become champion in. Throughout my time on the road and across many promotions I’ve wrestled many and been a part of many a great promotion. I hold my time at Kaizen and the promotion itself among the very best of those. So obviously I’m very proud of this achievement.”

Dan “Reverso” Pizzano also stated he plans on defending the Kaizen Pro Championship all across Canada:

“I realize that this means others will be looking to prove themselves to those other wrestlers and those amazing promotions by trying to take this title from me. I can sympathize with that mindset because I once looked to prove myself too. That’s why I do plan to defend the Kaizen Championship across the country. To be a part of showing the world how talented and amazing Canadian Independent Professional Wrestling can be. It’s a risk, but it’s one I’m willing to take.”

Pizzano has been on a roll lately as in addition to this title win, he made a number of successful appearances recently for IMPACT Wrestling.

In another featured match, rising star Mya Malek finally got her revenge on another indy star Covey Christ as she defeated him in a Mya Malek Rules match. Seven months ago, Mya Malek was injured at the hands of Covey Christ and on May 20th, Malek finally got her payback.

In the Mya Malek rules match, Malek was able to use any weapon she liked on Covey without getting disqualified. The no disqualification rule did not apply to Covey Christ, only Mya which enabled her to emerge victorious in the match.
