According to Fightful Select, long-time AAA standout La Hiedra has reportedly informed multiple sources that she now needs to have all of her upcoming wrestling appearances approved by WWE officials, strongly indicating that she is currently under contract with the company.
While WWE and AAA have yet to publicly confirm the signing, sources close to the situation believe La Hiedra has finalized a deal. This lines up with reports from May, which stated that she was part of a group of AAA stars who inked contracts with WWE following the announcement of WWE’s acquisition of select AAA talent.
La Hiedra is still scheduled to compete at AAA’s Verano de Escándalo event on July 11th, where she is set to wrestle in a mixed tag team match against WWE NXT’s Lola Vice and TNA’s Santino Marella. Given her apparent WWE status, it’s believed that the match was sanctioned with WWE’s approval.
