Max Dupri, the founder and director of Maximum Male Models, is still a part of the group.
In a backstage segment of Friday night’s SummerSlam go-home episode of WWE SmackDown, MMM Director of Talent Maxxine Dupri presented ma.çé and mn.sôör, who later modeled their 2022 SummerSlam Beachwear Collection, which was essentially a collection of SummerSlam merchandise.
In the middle of the video, Max popped out of nowhere, shocking Pat McAfee on commentary. Standing with the others, Max declared that they are still looking for models who truly represent the essence of Maximum Male Models. The sentence was completed by Maxxine, who stated that the creed is to titillate the juices of your guilty pleasures. The segment came to an end there.
As we’ve already mentioned, Max was missing from last week’s SmackDown, and it was reported that he had been pulled out of the Maximum Male Models group after rubbing some people the wrong way backstage. As a result, Vince McMahon decided to remove Max from the storyline before his retirement was officially announced. Then, on Friday, it was reported that Vince had decided to remove Max from the group after one of the earlier Maximum Male Models segments went wrong, and Vince had reportedly pointed the responsibility for that failure on Max’s delivery of some of his lines. Additionally, it was claimed that Max objected to parts of the segment’s scripting, which evidently irritated Vince and other people.
After Vince’s departure, there was considerable talk that the former LA Knight may rejoin the MMM stable, and it appears that this is what happened sometime last week. According to reports, Max has fans within WWE. When Max was presented in the segment Friday night, McAfee at least mentioned the original change in the commentary.
The Maximum Male Models t-shirt with Max, ma.çé, and mn.sôör on the front was just removed from WWE Shop, and as of this writing, it has not been added back.
