Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks, will make her NJPW debut in a few days.
She made her NJPW debut on January 4 at Wrestle Kingdom, after being released from her WWE non-compete in January, when she showed up after IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI retained her title and attacked the former WWE star.
Mone will face KAIRI for the title this Saturday at NJPW Battle in the Valley in San Jose. It’s one of two main event builds.
Mone, as seen below, shared an emotional video on Twitter to promote her return to the ring. She also shared backstage footage from her NJPW debut.
“Man, I can’t believe how many people have supported me in this. I’m so happy. I’ve never felt so happy,” Banks stated in the video while crying.
