Mercedes Mone Comments On Her AEW In-Ring Status

The anticipation among fans is high for Mercedes Mone to return to the ring and compete.

Mone was in talks with both WWE and All Elite Wrestling before deciding to sign with the latter. While in talks with WWE, she reportedly requested to be paid at the same level as Lynch, but the negotiations fell through, sending Mone to the rival promotion.

Mone made her AEW debut at AEW Big Business in Boston last month, but has only done promos since. Last week on Dynamite, she stated that she would challenge the AEW TBS Champion for the title at AEW Double or Nothing next month.

Willow Nightingale will first face Julia Hart for the AEW TBS Title at the Dynasty pay-per-view event. Some fans have speculated that Mone will wrestle before Double or Nothing as a way to get back in ring shape after being sidelined since last summer due to an injury that required surgery.

Mone responded to a fan on Twitter, stating that she will not wrestle before Double or Nothing.
