New Champions Crowned At WWE Stomping Grounds

Ricochet beat Samoa Joe Sunday night at WWE Stomping Grounds to become the new United States Champion.

Joe rolled out of the way the first time Ricochet attempted his 630 Splash. Joe then went for a clothesline, which Ricochet countered.

Joe was as surprised as everybody else in the moment and Ricochet connected with a Codebreaker. Ricochet then nailed Joe with the 630 Splash and captured the United States Championship.

After celebrating in the ring after the match, Ricochet was warmly congratulated backstage by other members of the main roster and Triple H.

In the other title change of the night, Drew Gulak snapped Tony Neseā€™s reign as WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

On the WWE Stomping Grounds Kickoff, Gulak beat Nese and Akira Tozawa in a Triple Threat Match to become the new WWE Champion. Nese, however, didnā€™t take the fall.

With Nese outside of the ring, Gulak nailed Tozawa with the Torture Rack Neckbreaker to pull out the win and become WWE Cruiserweight Champion for the first time.
