The new WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions are Katana Chance and Kayden Carter.
Chance and Carter won the Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match to win the vacant belts on Tuesday night’s NXT 2.0 episode’s commercial-free premiere. Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley from The Diamond Mine, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne of Toxic Attraction, and Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon were the other teams competing.
Nile eliminated Feroz and Leon first, but Jayne then eliminated Paxley and Nile. Chance went to the top for their powerful 450 neckbreaker combo finisher to pin Jayne.
This is Chance and Carter’s first title reign together. At the Great American Bash on July 5, Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez defeated Toxic Attraction to win the title, although they only retained it for 14 officially recognized days since Jade turned on Perez and trashed her title belt. When Perez formally relinquished the championship on the NXT show on July 26, WWE recognized her as having a second reign and declared her a single champion.
