New WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions to Be Crowned Next Week on RAW

On next week’s RAW, the last red brand show before WWE Clash at The Castle, new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions will be crowned.

Dakota Kai and IYO SKY defeated Alexa Bliss and Asuka on this week’s RAW in Toronto to advance to the championship match.

Due to Gigi Dolin’s injuries suffered during their victory over Natalya and Sonya Deville in the first round of the tournament on last Friday’s SmackDown, Jacy Jayne and Dolin were removed from the tournament, WWE announced earlier on Monday. Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark, who were also removed from the tournament for medical reasons, who were replaced by Toxic Attraction.

A Second Chance Fatal 4 Way match will take place on this Friday’s SmackDown as a result of Toxic Attraction being removed from the tournament. Natalya and Deville, Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop, Shotzi and Xia Li, Tamina Snuka, and WWE 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke will all compete in the match.

The Fatal 4 Way winners will later compete against Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah during the same SmackDown broadcast. The victorious team will compete against Kai and SKY for the vacant WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on next Monday’s RAW.

Since the May 20 SmackDown, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles have been vacant. Just a few days earlier, on May 16, Sasha Banks and Naomi left a RAW taping. This led to the announcement. Although it hasn’t been confirmed, Banks and Naomi are rumored to be making a return to WWE.
