Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Eli Drake has signed another short-term contract extension, which will keep him with Impact Wrestling through July 31st.
A few months ago, the belief was that if Drake didn’t sign a new deal with Impact then he could be headed to the WWE. With a short extension of his contract, the two sides could be working on a longer deal or Drake will finish up his commitments with Impact through the summer.
