As noted, John Cena and Nikki Bella have officially called time on their relationship, according to a report from TMZ. The site notes that Bella and Cena have grown apart with the duo informing friends of the split. The report continues to state that Nikki also realized while watching Sunday’s finale of Total Bellas on the E! Network how unhappy she was and hated the feeling of being confused and living in a gray area and that watching that high level of uncertainty reminded her why she ultimately chose not to walk down the aisle with Cena. Now, she is focused on her professional life.
Bella issued the following statement to People.com:
“After I called off the engagement, we tried to work on our relationship to get back to where it was, and in order to move forward with our wedding. After much time and soul-searching alone and together, we have decided to officially part ways,” Bella said. “I had a beautiful and loving 6-year relationship with a wonderful man. I have the utmost respect for John, but I know this is what’s best for me.”
Cena also seemingly commented on the split with this cryptic tweet:
If you can learn something from your experiences, good and bad, you will live with little to no regret.
