Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown may have gotten a little more interesting.
The show will take place at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI, and will feature appearances by newly crowned WWE Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Women’s Champion Bayley, who will speak. The company is also planning two major matches. For more information, please click here.
Tama Tonga was rumored to be joining WWE back in February. The former NJPW star had worked for the promotion for the past 14 years and retired around the time of this report.
According to PWInsider, Tonga has been spotted in Detroit ahead of tonight’s SmackDown. It’s unclear whether he will appear on the show.
Tonga began his career in All Japan Pro Wrestling as King Tonga, Haku, and Meng before moving to NJPW as part of The Bullet Club with AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows.
While with NJPW, he won the IWGP Tag Team Championships seven times with Loa and the Never Openweight Championship four times.
