WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair took to Twitter today to honor his half-century career in the wrestling business. Flair made his start in 1972 after training in Minnesota under Verne Gagne.
Flair tweeted, “Thank You To Everyone Who Helped Me Celebrate My 50 Years In The Business! One Thing Is For Certain… I WILL NEVER RETIRE! WOOOOO! #50YearsOfFlair”

The line “I will never retire!” may be interpreted as a joke because it’s a play off of one of his last promos leading up to his WWE retirement match at WrestleMania 24, however Ric Flair has suggested that he would like to wrestle again after hearing about Ricky Steamboat coming out of retirement.
He said, “Steamboat coming back makes me want to come back again,” Flair said on a recent ‘To Be The Man’ podcast. “I went back up to Lincoln and started training again. What else is there to do?”
Flair’s most recent match took place during Starrcast in Nashville, and it was evident that he was not himself during the match. In a subsequent episode of his podcast, Flair explained that he had fainted twice during the match but that it was due to the fact that he was dehydrated.
