This summer, fans can expect to see more of Roman Reigns, both on WWE television and at live events.
When Reigns signed a new WWE contract last year, he received a pay increase and had his WWE schedule reduced, where he mostly worked TV and PLE events.
At Night of Champions, Reigns and Solo Sikoa lost to Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Jimmy Uso turned on “The Tribal Chief” by landing two superkicks, which knocked him to the ground, causing the defeat. Zayn and Owens finished off Solo for the win and to retain their titles.
On June 17, Reigns will work a SuperShow live event at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The arena is advertising him defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Rey Mysterio.
The show features World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Shinsuke Nakamura, Matt Riddle Owens, Zayn, and others.
WrestleTix reported on June 5 that the SuperShow had sold 3,781 tickets, with 2,165 being sold. When Reigns was added to a lineup, he sold more tickets, though no specific number was given.
Here is Reigns’ updated WWE schedule for the next month:
