The Women’s Tag Team Titles were vacated due to Liv Morgan suffering an injury that will keep her out of action for a while, and WWE booked Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi vs. Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler vs. Bayley & IYO SKY vs. Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville in a fatal 4-way match on Monday’s RAW to crown new champions.

Rousey and Baszler went over in the match, which was supposed to happen at WrestleMania 39 but didn’t because Rousey was injured.

During a conversation with the New York Post, Rousey made some interesting comments about WWE’s women’s tag division. Since the debut of the titles, fans have criticized the company for failing to show concern for and investment in the division.

“Well, the lack of competition is really the problem. I mean, we want to be the most active champions out there. I want to be able to defend this title every week and even twice a week on both SmackDown and Raw. But with how dismally shallow the women’s division is right now, there’s not enough women around here to keep us busy for a month. And so that’s the biggest challenge that we have is to get this company to actually care and invest into this tag division.”

Rousey believes that while she was away with her first child, the women’s tag division was “stripped clean.” She believes Baszler and she must turn “chicken sh*t into chicken salad.”
