ECW legend Sabu appeared on an episode of 1 Of A Kind, where he discussed a number of topics including Vince McMahon pushing him to do promos in WWE and how he hated it.
Sabu said, โI hated it, I despised it. One day, Vince goes, โTo be a top babyface, you have to talk.โ Yeah, but Iโm getting over the way I am. He said โI can get you over so much more.โ I said, โYeah, but I kind of like what Iโm doing. I did it myself.โ He said, โNo no, Iโll get you to talk, and I can make anybody talk. Just me and you, the camera.โ I said, โAll right.โ So he wanted just me and him in the room. So I brought Rob with me. He says, โRob, what are you doing here?โ โMoral support.โ But I couldnโt do it. He goes, โSay, homicidal, genocidal, suicidal.โ I said, โI canโt do that. I donโt call myself thatโโฆ Iโve never said Iโm the greatest, even though itโs a work. Iโve never said Iโm the best. You can say it, and I agree with you, but Iโm not going to boast myself.โ
On not being able to act:
โItโs hard. Iโm not an actor, I canโt act. Wrestling isnโt acting for me. Itโs natural. I act like Sabu but to me, thatโs easy. Iโm not acting. If I have to act, itโs much harder work. And if Iโm faking it, youโll see right through it.โ
