That’s the last time Santana has been in action inside the squared circle.
On Friday, the former Inner Circle member and tag-team performer alongside Ortiz teased his return in a new video shared via social media.
The 32-year-old has been out of action since suffering a knee injury during the AEW Blood & Guts match on June 29, 2022. Soon after entering the cage that evening, he attempted a uranage on Daniel Garcia but landed awkwardly on his leg. This would led to him being helped to the back, and Tony Khan would note soon after that it would be a long time before Santana returns.
Last week, Santana hyped the 6/9 date for tonight on his Twitter page. Today, he posted a new video hyping his comeback. He posted a similar video teasing his return back in April. Check out all three tweets below.
