Edge talked about wanting to wrap up his own tale in a video that he posted to his social media accounts on Thursday.
He declared that he intends to win the World Heavyweight Title and that, should he lose it, he intends to hang up his gloves. He might win the belt at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, according to a lot of rumors that followed the statement.
Edge is not being scheduled to win the title, according to a report from Twitter insider @BoozerRasslin. He might win tonight’s Triple Threat Match, but it’s not the intention for him to become champion. Since Edge only competes sporadically throughout the year, it wouldn’t make sense for him to win since Triple H stated that the champion will always be defending. SmackDown is scheduled to feature Edge vs. Rey Mysterio vs. AJ Styles.
Tonight’s SmackDown will also see the return of WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Additionally, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez will defend the Women’s Tag Team Titles against Damage CTRL, and Sheamus, Bobby Lashley, and Austin Theory will face off in the second Triple Threat Match of the World Heavyweight Title tournament.
