“SuperClash” Added to the Starrcast Catalog

Conrad Thompson has added another trademark to his ever-growing catalog of things that have to do with wrestling nostalgia. This time it’s “SuperClash” if that sounds familiar it’s because the former American Wrestling Association (AWA) ran four of these events back in the 1980s. The most famous of these being SuperClash 3 which took place December 13th, 1988, and was the only AWA PPV. This event saw the PPV debut of such future legends and hall of farmers such as Mick Foley and Jeff Jarrett, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, Jerry Lawler, and Sgt. Slaughter.

The final SuperClash event was held in 1990.

The trademark filing, according to PWInsider, was for multiple areas:

“Hats; Shirts; Bandanas; Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts.

Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestling and sports entertainers in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”

This comes on the heels of Thompson’s filing of Southwest Championship Wrestling last month. Southwest was the territory run by Joe Blanchard, father of Tully and grandfather of Tessa Blanchard.
