Ted DiBiase Questions If Sting Could’ve Truly Replaced Hulk Hogan In WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase addressed various topics on a recent episode of his podcast, “Everybody’s Got a Pod.” One discussion point was “The Icon” Sting’s entry into WWE in the early 1990s and whether he had the potential to replace Hulk Hogan as the company’s top babyface.

DiBiase said, “Work-wise, Sting had it. And he’s a good friend of mine. But I don’t know that — I’ve seen him interview, and he interviewed okay, you know what I’m saying? But I don’t know if he had the flamboyance of a Hulk Hogan. The one thing about Hulk is, you give him a microphone? Oh my gosh, he was so good and charismatic on the microphone… That and his appearance. Because the Hulkster, you got to remember those guys that are that big, they’re few and far between.”

On if he has anything nice to say about Ultimate Warrior:

“Marcus, that’s hard. I’m serious. I mean, the one thing I would say about The Warrior if you want to say something good, is that to have a body that good. The guy was ripped. You don’t get that way, you have to be very dedicated. You gotta go to the gym when you don’t feel like going to the gym to maintain a physique like that. And I will say that about him, he had a tremendous physique.”
