On Thursday night, The Undertaker and Kane reunited for a fundraiser on behalf of Jacobs’ mayoral campaign at the Rothchild Catering & Conference Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. At a cost of $50 to $150, the event allowed fans to get autographs and photos with the WWE Legends.

Mike Johnson noted on a recent edition of PWinsider Elite Audio that fans who attended this fundraiser asked Taker about returning to the ring this year. However, he reportedly downplayed it. Here is what Johnson had to say (transcript courtesy of Ringside News):

“Yesterday he did a signing in Knox County Tennessee with Kane to help Glenn Jacobs for Mayor. Apparently Kane & Glenn are close. There were some fans that asked him about returning and why he could have very well been working them. He kinda gave the impression of “ahh, don’t hold your break, don’t wait for that one.” But we will see. If I was Taker and I was returning, certainly I would want to keep the mystique and aura going and hide things, you know? Sort of do a little slide of hands. We’ll see what happens.”
