TNA celebrated Matt and Jeff Hardy’s 35th anniversary with a special edition of Impact. The Hardys competed and controlled the matchmaking throughout the night, syX defeated The Righteous in a Tables Match, and Trey Miguel earned a TNA World Championship opportunity at Destination X.
The Hardys’ 35th Anniversary Celebration
Following a recap of Bound For Glory, Matt and Jeff Hardy opened the show to celebrate 35 years in professional wrestling.
The Hardys announced that Nic and Ryan Nemeth would be forced to face each other. If either brother intentionally lost, The Nemeths would be stripped of the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
They also scheduled a Tables Match between syX and The Righteous, along with a six-woman tag team match featuring TNA Knockouts World Champion Indi Hartwell and TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Apex.
Amazing Red joined the celebration after entering the TNA Hall of Fame and capturing the TNA X Division Championship at Bound For Glory. Red praised the Hardys for inspiring his career, and the brothers congratulated him on his accomplishments.
TNA World Champion Leon Slater then came to the ring and credited his mother and wrestlers such as the Hardys for giving him the confidence to pursue his dreams. Slater issued an open challenge, prompting Jeff to express interest in a future championship match.
Instead, the Hardys announced a Ladder Match involving Elijah, Jason Hotch, Ricky Sosa, Trey Miguel and Moose. The winner would challenge Slater for the TNA World Championship at Destination X on November 15.
The Nemeth Brothers React
Backstage, Nic and Ryan Nemeth complained about being forced to wrestle each other. Nic was also frustrated that he had not received a World Championship rematch or a place in the Ladder Match.
Ryan asked what would happen if he won their match. Nic responded by joking that Ryan should tell their mother to watch.
The System Confronts Santino Marella
The System confronted Santino Marella about the evening’s matches. Cedric Alexander wanted an opportunity at the X Division Championship, while Bear Bronson questioned why no member of The System had been included in the Ladder Match.
Eddie Edwards argued that Ricky Sosa deserved his opportunity. Santino said that he was on vacation and walked away, leaving Bronson angry with Edwards.
Nic Nemeth vs. Ryan Nemeth
The brothers initially attempted to avoid a legitimate match. Ryan lightly kicked Nic in the shin before lying down for a pin, but the Hardys appeared and demanded that they compete seriously.
Nic and Ryan exchanged rollups before the match became increasingly physical. Ryan shoved his brother, but Nic responded with a superkick. Nic followed with the Fameasser to secure the victory.
Afterward, Nic blamed the Hardys for making him attack his brother. He demanded another TNA World Championship opportunity and promised to watch the night’s Ladder Match closely.
Winner: Nic Nemeth via Pinfall
The Hardys Accept Another Match
Backstage, AJ Francis and Expressions approached the Hardys and requested a prominent match. Matt and Jeff responded by booking themselves against the duo. Expressions immediately appeared concerned about the decision.
The Righteous Prepare for syX
The Righteous told Harley Hudson to remain backstage during the Tables Match because they wanted to keep her safe.
Tables Match
syX vs. The Righteous
Both members of a team had to be put through tables for the match to end. Vincent battled Sawyer Fulton around ringside while Dutch fought Sinner and Saint’s Shaw inside the ring.
Shaw powerbombed Vincent through a table to give syX the advantage. Dutch answered by sending Sawyer through another table, leaving one member of each team eliminated.
Dutch delivered Death Walks to Shaw and placed him across a table. As Dutch climbed the ring post, Sawyer grabbed his ankle. Shaw used the opening to send Dutch crashing from the post through the table, giving syX the victory.
Winners: syX
Frankie Kazarian Discusses His Tag-Team Plans
Frankie Kazarian and Avery Styles approached the Hardys backstage. Kazarian said that he intended to call his shot for a TNA World Tag Team Championship opportunity.
Matt appreciated Kazarian looking after Avery and promised them the first championship match if the Hardys regained the titles.
Allie’s Vision
Allie experienced another vision of Rosemary, whose green-painted face appeared on a wall.
The Hardys vs. AJ Francis and Expressions
Jeff Hardy began the match against AJ Francis before the Hardys combined to wear down the larger opponent. Matt knocked Expressions from the apron, but Francis stopped the Hardys’ momentum with a knee strike.
Expressions controlled Jeff and mocked him by attempting the People’s Elbow. Francis followed with a bear hug, but Jeff fought back with a flurry of offense. Francis countered a Twist of Fate attempt with a powerslam.
Expressions restrained Jeff as Francis climbed the ropes. Matt intervened and trapped Francis in the tree of woe. He then delivered two Twists of Fate to Expressions, allowing Jeff to finish the match with the Swanton Bomb.
Winners: The Hardys via Pinfall
Apex and Xia Brookside vs. Indi Hartwell, Gabby Forza and Harley Hudson
Indi Hartwell began against Xia Brookside before Shayna Baszler entered the match. Zoey Serrano struck Hartwell with an elbow, but Hartwell answered with a big boot.
Harley Hudson entered and delivered a kick, an arm drag and a hip attack before driving Serrano face-first into the turnbuckle. Hartwell and Baszler exchanged strikes until a blind tag allowed Serrano to take Hartwell down with a clothesline.
Baszler attacked Hartwell’s arm, while Brookside later applied a submission. Hartwell escaped and hit a spinebuster before tagging Gabby Forza. Forza delivered a double suplex to Baszler and Serrano before throwing Hudson onto Baszler and Brookside at ringside.
Serrano flattened Forza, and Hudson entered looking for the Killshot. Baszler caught Hudson in a choke while Brookside prevented Hartwell from making the save. Hudson eventually lost consciousness, forcing the referee to end the match.
Winners: Apex and Xia Brookside via Submission
Ladder Match
Elijah vs. Jason Hotch vs. Ricky Sosa vs. Trey Miguel vs. Moose
TNA World Champion Leon Slater joined commentary as the five competitors fought for a championship opportunity at Destination X.
Trey Miguel and Jason Hotch initially worked together against Moose while Ricky Sosa battled Elijah. Sosa and Moose briefly shook hands before exchanging strikes. Moose sent Sosa to the mat, but Sosa rebounded with a dropkick.
Elijah knocked Moose from the ring and attacked Miguel and Hotch. Sosa responded with a ring-post dropkick that sent Elijah outside. He later delivered a Spanish Fly to Moose from the ropes.
Miguel caught Sosa with a headscissors before Sosa answered with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Hotch sent Sosa into the corner with another headscissors and followed with a neckbreaker.
When Hotch attempted to retrieve a ladder, Moose confronted him. Elijah joined the fight, but Hotch dropped both men with a double DDT. Miguel then hit Hotch with a Poisonrana before attacking Elijah and Sosa.
Moose cleared the ring and retrieved a ladder. When Hotch and Sosa attempted dives, Moose and Elijah threw the ladder at them. Miguel then launched himself onto the group at ringside.
Elijah and Hotch later climbed opposite sides of the ladder and exchanged punches. Sosa joined them, but Elijah and Hotch tipped the ladder and sent him flying.
Miguel took control and attempted a dive onto Moose, but Moose caught him and delivered a powerbomb onto the apron. Hotch began climbing the ladder until Mustafa Ali interfered and pulled him down. The two fought into the backstage area.
Miguel climbed with no one nearby, but Sosa and Elijah pulled him down. Sosa drove Elijah’s head into a ladder and began climbing, only for Moose to powerbomb him onto another ladder bridged inside the ring.
Elijah smashed a guitar over Moose and climbed toward the contract. Nic Nemeth ran to the ring and tipped the ladder over. Nic attempted to retrieve the contract himself, but Miguel took him down.
Miguel climbed the ladder and secured the contract, earning a TNA World Championship match against Leon Slater at Destination X.
Winner: Trey Miguel by Retrieving the Contract
After the match, the Hardys congratulated Miguel and thanked the fans for celebrating their 35th-anniversary Hardy Party.
