TNA No Surrender Review – February 23, 2024

Tag Team Match
Speedball Mountain (Mike Bailey & Trent Seven) vs. The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel) (Pre Show)

Mike Bailey & Trey Miguel start the match as Zachary Wentz gets involved right away with The Rascalz both hitting dives onto Bailey & Trent Seven on the outside.

The Rascalz continue the match by double-teaming on Bailey and working on his leg while going for pin attempts.

Bailey comes back with a missile dropkick on Wentz as Seven cheers him on to make the tag.

Seven comes in and starts going after both Wentz & Miguel with suplexes.

Seven places Miguel on the top rope trying to go for a superplex but Wentz gets involved just for Bailey to take him out with a corner moonsault.

They continue attacking Miguel including a wild Shooting Star Press from Bailey for a two count.

Wentz stops Bailey’s Ultima Weapon attempt as The Rascalz follow with a double team stomp that Seven is there to break up the pin for.

Both teams go at it as Bailey stops Wentz with a superkick before Steve Maclin runs out and takes out Bailey with a chop block, as the referee is distracted by Miguel.

Wentz puts on a knee bar as Seven is too late to stop from Bailey tapping out.

We get a backstage promo from Frankie Kazarian who says he’ll be watching tonight’s TNA World Title match closely as his match with Eric Young tonight will determine the next person to get a title shot in 2 weeks at Sacrifice.

Tag Team Match
The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards) vs. Jett Setters (Kushida & Kevin Knight) (Pre Show)

Kushida & Brian Myers start the match before The System take turns working on Kushida as he & Kevin Knight start working on Eddie Edwards in their corner including a couple takedowns from Kushida.

Kushida is able to trap Edwards in an arm bar but Alisha Edwards gets on the apron to distract the referee.

Kushida takes out Myers with a Tanaka Punch before getting attacked from behind by Edwards.

Myers holds Kushida down with a side headlock that Kushida is able to fight out of before Edwards tags in and continues working on Kushida.

Kushida is able to fight them off and tries to go tag out but Knight has been taken out off of the apron.

Knight is able to help out by tripping Edwards and springboards into the ring to double team The System.

Both teams go at it including Knight delivering a high dropkick to Myers as he was on Kushida’s shoulders.

Myers hits a thumb in the eye and Implant DDT to Knight before heading to the top rope just for Knight to join him.

Edwards breaks it up just for Edwards to catch Knight in the corner with the Backpack Stunner followed by a flying elbow drop from Myers for two.

Kushida takes the bullet for Knight and takes the Roster Cut from Myers but Myers follows with one on Knight followed by Boston Knee Party for the win.

TNA World Title #1 Contenders Match
Frankie Kazarian vs. Eric Young

Frankie Kazarian & Eric Young starts the match running the ropes, both taking turns taking each other down until they hit a double clothesline and get face 2 face.

A bit of back & forth until Eric Young hits a Death Valley Driver for a two count.

They head to the top rope where Young slaps Kazarian down, and hits a top rope elbow drop for a two count.

Kazarian stops Young in the corner with a back elbow and hits a Guillotine Leg drop before slingshotting back in the ring with a DDT for a two count.

Kazarian stops Young in the corner and catches him off the ropes right into a cutter for two.

More back & forth until Kazarian hits a Backstabber and Fade To Black but Young is able to kick out at two.

Kazarian gets right in the referee’s face as Young catches Kazarian from behind with a crucifix pin to get the win.

Winner & #1 Contender To The TNA World Title: Eric Young (9:23)

After the match Kazarian gives the referee a talking about that finish just to pull him back in and hit a cutter followed by kicks kicking him out of the ring. Kazarian goes to leave before continuing to kick away at the referee. Kazarian brings the referee back inside and continues to attack until more referees and security come out to get in between them as Kazarian finally leaves.

Gia Miller is in the back with the Grizzled Young Vets who talk about coming to TNA for the TNA World Tag Team Titles and they won’t stop conquering. They talk about this not being pretty for ABC and their time being up.

They cut to Westside Gunn in the crowd saying he’s a big TNA fan.

TNA World Tag Team Titles 3rd & Final Match Of The Best Of 3 Series
ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) (c) (1) vs. Grizzled Young Vets (Zack Gibson & James Drake) (1)

Ace Austin & Zack Gibson starts the match as Gibson is talking trash to Austin.

Austin comes back with stomps to Gibson in the corner before James Drake comes in and takes Chris Bey off of the apron.

Bey comes back in with a double crossbody as ABC starts double teaming on Gibson before going after Drake as Bey gets a two.

GYV comes back by dropping Bey right on the ropes throat first before Gibson hits a suplex on Bey for two, before choking him out on the top rope.

Bey is able to fight off GYV, taking out Gibson with a missile dropkick before trying to make the hot tag to Austin but Drake takes out Austin before he can.

As the referee tries to hold back an enraged Austin as Drake chokes out Bey with his scarf.

Bey mounts a comeback and is able to fight off Gibson but Drake stops Bey from making a tag by putting on a sleeper hold.

Bey is able to escape and hot tag out to Austin & goes wild on GYV including a springboard double dropkick followed by the Sword To Glory on Gibson.

Bey tags in and hits a frog splash on Gibson before ABC hits a double spin kick on Drake.

ABC continues on the attack with Austin hitting a twisting moonsault for Bey to get a two count.

Drake blocks Art Of Finesse with a sleeper on Bey as Gibson holds Austin down with an arm hold. Bey reverses into a pin for a two count.

All 4 continue until Drake runs the ropes and hits a Doomsday Device to Austin to the outside.

Bey challenges both of GYV and tries to fight them off by hitting a suplex to Drake and the Fameasser to Gibson.

Gibson hits a lung blower to Bey and holds on to him as Drake connects with a Coast 2 Coast, but still they only get two.

Austin joins in and chokes out Gibson as the referee is attending to Drake before ABC follows with 1,2 Sweet for the win.

We go to Steve Maclin & The Rascalz in the back who are happy at how they took out Speedball Mountain as Maclin says Nic Nemeth will never be seen in TNA again. Mike Bailey & Trent Seven try to get in their faces but officials are there to keep them apart.

PCO vs. Kon

Kon attacks PCO before the bell rings and they continue attacking each other in the ring.

Kon takes PCO down with a clothesline but he gets right back and knocks Kon down before tossing him to the outside.

PCO tries a dive to the outside but Kon stops him with a blow and PCO goes crashing to the floor.

Kon follows with an apron chokeslam but PCO gets right back up and takes down Kon with a clothesline.

They head back inside before taking each other right back out with a clothesline over the ropes.

PCO puts Kon on the apron and goes for De Animator but Kon is able to move as PCO bounces off the apron.

Kon grabs a chair under the ring and attacks PCO with it causing the disqualification.

Winner By DQ: PCO (3:49)

After the match Kon continues with the chair before delivering a neck snap to PCO. The timekeeper continues ringing the bell just for Kon to go and attack him as well. PCO emerges and takes Kon to the outside where he hits him with a running cannonball. PCO chases Kon up the ramp while continuing with chair shots. Kon eventually comes back with a low blow and a back body drop to PCO on the top of the stage. Kon zip ties PCO to the stage then wraps a chair around his neck and delivers another neck snap.

We go to The Motor City Machine Guns & Jett Setters in the back. Alex Shelley says it sucks that they lost tonight but he still needs them tonight in his corner for their match. X Division Champion Chris Sabin asks if Shelley is sure he doesn’t need him in his corner and Shelley tells him it’s okay and that Sabin should go get ready for his match. Shelley & Sabin have Jett Setters both promise to not throw in the towel tonight.

Knockouts Tag Team Titles Match
Decay (Rosemary & Havok) (c) vs. MK Ultra (Masha Slamovich & Killer Kelly)

Havok & Masha Slamovich start the match with some punches as Rosemary & Killer Kelly get involved right away as all 4 take it to the outside.

Back inside Kelly attacks Rosemary on the apron as Slamovich takes advantage with a stomp off the rope for a two count.

Kelly tags in as MK Ultra continues double-teaming Rosemary including Slamovich slamming Kelly on Rosemary.

Kelly & Rosemary go face 2 face before attacking each other with punches just for Slamovich to break it up and hits High/Low on Rosemary for Kelly to get a two count.

Slamovich tags in as she and Rosemary go back & forth before Rosemary is able to escape and make the tag to Havok.

Havok catches Kelly off the ropes into a Death Valley Driver for a two count.

All 4 go at it until Slamovich hits Snow Plow on Rosemary to get the win

Winners & New Knockouts Tag Team Champions: MK Ultra (7:27) (NEW CHAMPIONS!!!)

MK Ultra continues to attack Decay until Jody Threat & Dani Luna run out for the save.

The System is in the back as TNA World Champion Moose says under no circumstances do they throw in the towel tonight, as they say they will not need to. Moose says he’s going to enjoy the opportunity to beat Alex Shelley and show the world that you trust The System.

Josh Alexander vs. Simon Gotch

Josh Alexander & Simon Gotch take it to the mat right away until Alexander escapes and puts on a headscissors. Gotch is able to escape and heads to the outside to regroup.

Back inside they lock up before trading headbutts and chops before Gotch stops Alexander with a knee strike before hitting a senton onto Alexander off the apron.

Gotch goes next to Matt Rehwoldt on commentary and does the Vaudevillian pose to Rehwoldt’s surprise.

Alexander comes back with a barrage of German suplexes until Gotch stops them by holding on to the top rope, a back elbow and a big boot as both men fall to the mat.

Alexander comes back with a missile dropkick but Gotch comes back with a kick to Alexander on the apron.

They start fighting on the apron, as Gotch misses the senton before Alexander takes him out with a crossbody as both men spilling to the outside.

They both get back in at the 9 count and go back and forth with Alexander getting the upper hand.

Gotch is able to block C4 Spike and tries a piledriver of his own just for Alexander to escape right into a Bulldog Choke from Gotch as he is pulling off Alexander’s headgear in the process.

Alexander escapes and puts on the Ankle Lock but Gotch is able to push Alexander off.

Back & forth with punches before Alexander hits a backbreaker and C4 Spike to get the win.

Winner: Josh Alexander (16:43)

We see Rich Swann in the back watching on as AJ Francis interrupts him and says it must be hard for Swann to watch a former champion like Josh Alexander win, while he is losing matches to The Good Hands. Swann asks Francis what his problem is and Francis says just because they are opponents this coming Thursday on Impact, they don’t have to be enemies.

TNA World Title No Surrender Match
Moose (c) vs. Alex Shelley

They go right after each other as Alex Shelley starts targeting Moose’s arm.

They fight on the outside as Moose hits Shelley with a powerbomb on the apron.

They continue fighting on the outside as their cornermen seem concerned about throwing in the towel.

Shelley places Moose’s fingers in the turnbuckle and cranks it back with a wrench but The System still doesn’t toss in the towel.

Moose starts attacking Shelley’s hand with a chair as Kushida looks like he might throw in the towel before stopping himself.

Shelley stops Moose with a dragon screw, and they finally get back in the ring.

Shelley grabs a Kendo stick and starts swinging away at Moose’s legs.

They toss a garbage can in the ring as Moose & Shelley head to the top rope just for Shelley to escape and powerbomb Moose right onto it.

Shelley puts on the Figure 4 but Moose is able to reverse it but rope breaks do nothing in this match as they keep rolling around in it.

The cornermen get into each other’s faces as Moose breaks up the figure 4 with the Kendo stick. Moose asks for a table as The System tosses one inside.

Moose stops short of missing Shelley and goes into the table as Shelley hits a low blow and puts on the Border City Stretch.

Brian Myers is able to slide brass knuckles to Moose & he uses them to break up the hold.

Moose goes to hit a spear but Shelley dodges as Moose goes right through the table.

Shelley is tossed a steel chain that he puts in Moose’s mouth while applying the Border City Stretch again.

Jett Setters take out Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards before Shelley takes his towel away from Alisha Edwards.

Moose takes out Shelley with a spear as Kushida has the white towel back.

Moose hits another spear, before wrapping the chain around his body and hits a 3rd spear.

Kushida gets on the apron and tells Moose to stop as Knight tells Kushida to not toss in the towel. Kushida tosses it in anyway as Moose hits another spear.

Winner & Still TNA World Champion: Moose (20:07) (STILL CHAMPION!!!!)

Before the next match can start George Iceman enters the ring and brings out the special guest to watch this match Ash By Elegance who will be ‘sitting VIP’ ringside.

Knockouts Title Match
Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Gisele Shaw

Jordynne Grace goes right after Gisele Shaw as soon as the bell rings but Shaw escapes to the outside as Grace chases and finally catches up to Shaw sending her back in just for Shaw to knock Grace off the apron.

Grace catches Shaw and hits a fallaway slam to the floor before Shaw pulls the official in between her & Grace by taking advantage of this and attacking Grace.

They fight in the corner where Grace catches Shaw right into body slams getting a two count.

Shaw stops Grace in the corner by driving her face into the apron and hits a twisting dive off the top rope for a two count.

They fight on the apron before Grace takes out Shaw with a senton followed by a Juggernaut Driver attempt that Shaw is able to block and hit a Spanish Fly from the apron to the floor.

Back inside Grace stops a knee strike attempt with a spinebuster getting a two count.

Shaw comes back with the knee but Grace is able to grab the bottom rope to stop the count.

They get into each other’s faces and start trading forearms before Shaw stops Grace with a superkick and tries a cutter but gets stopped by Grace.

They continue back & forth before Grace hits Juggernaut Driver out of nowhere for the win.

Winner & Still Knockouts Champion: Jordynne Grace (10:38) (STILL CHAMPION!!!!)

We get a video from Jake Something & says he will be watching close to tonight’s main event and 2024 will be the year he takes the X Division Title.

X Division Title Match
Chris Sabin (c) vs. Mustafa Ali

Both men starts the match by matching each other with flips and wrist control before having a stalemate.

More back & forth with them mirroring each other’s moves as Mustafa Ali tells Chris Sabin that he’s in his head.

Ali keeps acting cocky until Sabin gets pissed off by clotheslining Ali down and keeping him against the ropes with punches before Ali escapes to the outside.

They fight on the apron where Sabin takes Ali to the floor with headscissors.

They fight on the top rope as Ali headbutts Sabin off and hits a 450 splash to Sabin’s arm.

Ali puts on the STF but Sabin gets out with a roll up for a two count.

Ali yells out Mr Sabin, you are not the champion that we need but Sabin comes right back with a German suplex. They trade kicks until both men are down on the mat.

They fight on the top rope before Ali flips off and Sabin delivers a DDT for a two count.

Back & forth until Sabin puts on a Crossface but he eventually reaches the bottom rope to break up the move.

Ali takes control and heads to the top rope but Sabin dodges the 450 Splash and tosses Ali into the corner as he bounces off the middle turnbuckle.

They fight in the corner as Sabin kicks Ali as he is trying to springboard back in.

Sabin heads to the top rope and takes out two of Ali’s security with a crossbody.

We see The Good Hands on the ramp wearing Ali shirts as Sabin goes for Cradle Shock but The Good Hands gets on the apron distracting Sabin as Ali rolls up Sabin for two.

Sabin comes back with Clothesline from Hell, Michigan and Cradle Shock then a cover but Ali kicks out at two.

They head to the top rope as Sabin tries Cradle Shock just for Ali to push him off and hit a sunset flip bomb followed by the 450 Splash for the win.
