AEW President Tony Khan recently appeared on an episode of the Rich Eisen Show, where he talked about a number of topics including running AEW during NFL draft week and how wearing the neck brace is like an episode of Boy Meets World.
Khan said, “NFL Films was following me around in the neckbrace while I ran back and forth like a speed dating episode. Like the Boy Meets World episode where Corey is both with the wrestling show and trying to date Topanga. It was like that. I was doing the undrafted free agency and going back and forth with AEW Collision, which was live after the NBA Playoffs. It was one of those crazy things. Of course, they asked us to go on early because the Celtics-Heat game was a blowout and they asked us to start 10 minutes early. That was of all the days, Draft Saturday while I’m doing undrafted free agency. I had to run back over to Daily’s Place and start the show. It was something. NFL Films shot the whole thing.”
