WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.
According to PWInsider, WWE sources confirmed Triple H’s positive COVID-19 diagnosis, and he will miss tonight’s RAW from Oklahoma City.
Triple H is claimed to be in high spirits and to be feeling well, but he will be absent from his in-person WWE obligations until he has cleared the company’s current protocol. He’s been in contact with WWE producers and writers, and he’s optimistic about the creative for tonight’s RAW.
Triple H should return to in-person work immediately after a negative COVID-19 test. There’s no news yet on whether he’ll be back for Friday’s SmackDown from Toledo or next Monday’s RAW from Charlotte. He appeared on camera with Rey Mysterio backstage at last Friday’s SmackDown in New Orleans.
This will be Triple H’s first RAW absence since taking over creative after the departure of former WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon.
Triple H had a cardiac event last September and later stated that he was suffering from viral pneumonia and was at risk of heart failure. Because he has a defibrillator in his heart, he has ruled out ever wrestling again.
We wish Triple H a speedy recovery. Stay tuned to PWMania.com for more.
