At SummerSlam later this month, the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles will be on the line.
The Usos will defend their title against The Street Profits in the biggest show of the summer, according to a recent announcement from WWE.
This bout follows The Usos’ victory against The Profits at WWE Money In The Bank last weekend. A replay, though, showed that Montez Ford had his shoulder raised when Jimmy Uso pinned him to win. Due to that dispute, WWE has decided to arrange the rematch.
It would be interesting to see if a stipulation is introduced to the bout between the two tag teams at SummerSlam. Ford defeated Jey Uso on June 27 RAW, and the announced rule for that bout stipulated that the winner would choose a Money In the Bank stipulation. WWE must have changed plans because no further announcements or mentions of the Money In the Bank stipulation were made.
The Usos will make their third championship defense at SummerSlam after uniting the titles on the May 20 SmackDown by defeating RK-Bro. On the SmackDown on June 3, they won over Riddle and Shinsuke Nakamura, and last weekend, they won over The Street Profits.
On Saturday, July 30, Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, will host the 2022 WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event.
