Vince McMahon Reportedly Cut Several WWE RAW Segments And Changed Match Finishes

Several changes were made to Monday night’s WWE RAW from Chicago.

The changes were made by Vince McMahon, who was working remotely from home, according to PWInsider.

According to the report, McMahon changed the finishes of several matches, with some changes to how they got to the finish of certain matches and others changing the actual finish of the match.

Following McMahon’s changes, the match between The Street Profits and the team of Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin was added to the show.

It was also reported that “a number of segments” featuring female performers had been cut from the show. This would include a backstage segment with Candice LeRae and Piper Niven. Another segment involving Adam Pearce, Sonya Deville, and other female talent was reportedly cut. The decision to cut that segment was reportedly made in order to devote more time to preparing for the six-woman tag team match with Damage CTRL. It’s worth noting that LeRae and Niven were also cut at the last minute on the RAW following Mania. Vince McMahon was in charge of the show that night.

Tamina Snuka was at RAW, as seen in the clip below, so it’s possible she was supposed to be in a segment that was cut. The Candice and Piper segment was cut, according to Sean Ross Sapp. Sapp said, “Originally, Piper Niven and Candice LeRae were slated for a backstage segment, then a match. Instead, Street Profits vs. Cedric & Shelton was in that spot.”
