In recent weeks, there has been a lot of drama in AEW due to disagreements among the talent backstage.
Wrestlers have been involved in two separate altercations so far. Andrade and Sammy Guevara got into a fight at this week’s Dynamite, and The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) got into it backstage at All Out with CM Punk and Ace Steel.
WWE would like to steer clear of a situation like that. Dave Meltzer mentioned in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE is looking for an Operations Manager. This position would be responsible for mediating disputes between talent.
According to the job description, this person will collaborate with the travel department and the creative team to ensure that announcers are aware of the key points they need to transmit for storylines, negotiate with announcers, recruit new announcers, and help develop new ideas for announcers.
Meltzer brought attention to an interesting line in the job description, which stated that the Operations Manager “will have direct contact with talent and must be able to manage conflicting egos, personalities, and concerns.”
