WWE Main Event Results – April 6, 2023

Rick Boogs vs. Cedric Alexander

Match starts off with Rick Boogs screams before they lockup. Boogs lifts Cedric Alexander and tosses him across the ring. Alexander isn’t one to be upstaged, so he flexes. Boogs puts him down again and then gives his own flex. Another go and Alexander grabs an armlock. Boogs gets a gorilla press but Cedric slides down to get a waist lock. Boogs counters and does curls with Alexander.

Boogs tosses Alexander over his head on the 10th curl then Boogs gives chase and gets caught on the apron as Shelton Benjamin offers a brief distraction. Alexander hangs Boogs up on the top rope and drops him on the apron. Boogs beats the count out 8, so Alexander goes to work on the ribs and then hooks a modified abdominal stretch.

Boogs fights to break and tosses Alexander across the ring again. Alexander throws forearms but Boogs is too strong and reverses a whip. He hits a running clothesline in one corner and then the other.

He brings Alexander out with a running faceplant and then pulls down the straps. Boogs Cruise is countered and Alexander gets a superkick. Neuralizer is countered into gorilla press into World’s Strongest Slam for the win.

Winner: Rick Boogs

Back to Raw as Cody Rhodes interrupts Roman Reigns and is tired of The Solo Sikoa Factor. He wants a rematch as he notes he had Reigns beat at WrestleMania. Heyman tells Rhdoes no, so Rhodes wants a match against Reigns & Sikoa. They tell him to find a partner that worked at WrestleMania and whoever stands by Rhodes can never have a shot at Reigns’ Title. Brock Lensar answers the call.

Back to Raw as Rey Mysterio loses to United States Champion Austin Theory thanks to interference from Dominik Mysterio. Dominik beats up Rey after the match and then gets into it with Bad Bunny. Bunny gives Dominik a punch to the mouth, which has Damian Priest attacking Bad Bunny and putting him through the announce table.

Back to WrestleMania as we get a video package on the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Title Match from WrestleMania 39 Day 1.

Back to Raw as Street Profits challenges Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles. Owens & Zayn are down for it.

We join the match in progress with Owens & Zayn retaining.

Bronson Reed vs. Dexter Lumis

Bronson Reed with a shoulder tackle but Dexter Lumis kips up and stares him down. Lumis with a running clothesline but it doesn’t affect Reed. Lumis tries a belly 2 back but Reed blocks and gets a headbutt. Reed misses a charge in the corner and Lumis gets the 10 count punch in the corner. Lumis tries a sunset flip but Reed just sits out and flattens him. Lumis rolls to the floor and Reed follows with a shoulder block off the apron as we go to a break.

After the break Reed still in control. He fires Dexter into the corner and then hooks a neck crank. He releases and tries a senton backsplash but Lumis avoids. Lumis makes his comeback and gets a running clothesline in the corner & this time he connects with the belly to back suplex.

Another kip up and a leg drop gets two. Lumis crawls around and looks for The Silencer but Reed shoves out. Reed gets another shoulder tackle followed by an elbow drop then Tsunami for the win.

Winner: Bronson Reed

Back to Raw as The Miz complains about Snoop Dogg booking him in matches with Pat McAfee and then Shane McMahon. Miz taking credit for McMahon’s injury then he says is done with surprises and that brings back the returning Matt Riddle.

Back to Raw for a tag team match as it never happen due to Brock Lensar beating up Cody Rhodes.
