WWE Main Event Results – February 23, 2023
Cedric Alexander vs. Akira Tozawa
Fist bump to start as a show of respect. Cedric Alexander gets an early takedown with a waistlock but Akira Tozawa is able to escape. Tozawa gets an arm drag, a 2nd and tries a 3rd, but Alexander blocks it. Tozawa does get headscissors takedown off the middle rope. He tries to fly, but gets backdropped onto the apron and Alexander plants him with a uranage on the apron which gets two back in the ring.
Kick to the back gets two and then Alexander gets a grounded chinlock & Tozawa punches his way out and then he snaps off a rana. Running knee from Tozawa and he heads up top. He throws his body at Alexander with a back elbow and that gets two.
Alexander elbows out of a fireman’s carry and fires off some chops. Tozawa responds with his own chops and then an open hand to the face. Alexander gets a Michinoku Driver for a two count as he catches Tozawa charging in. Lumbar Check countered and Tozawa gets a roll up for two. Tozawa misses a spinning kick and this time Alexander hits Lumbar Check for the win.
Winner: Cedric Alexander

Back to Raw as Sami Zayn brings out Kevin Owens and wants him to join him in taking down The Bloodline. Zayn tries to makes amends, but Owens doesn’t forget. He saved Zayn to save Zayn’s wife from seeing him get destroyed like his family saw him get destroyed at Royal Rumble and Sami stood there and let it happen. There it is, they tied up the loose end from Elimination Chamber. Owens didn’t care about Zayn winning and was just there to protect Zayn’s family. He tells Zayn he is done with him.

Back to Raw for the Raw debut of Ding Dong Hello. Becky Lynch & Lita interrupt and they end up talking their way into a Women’s Tag Team Title Match against Damage CTRL next week.
Back to Smackdown as Bray Wyatt has his eyes set on the winner of Lashley/Lesnar.
Back to Elimination Chamber as Lashley gets the win by DQ as Lensar kicked him in the privates and then destroyed him after the match.
Back to Raw as Lashley destroys Elias.
Tag Team Match
Candice LeRae & Mia Yim vs. Dana Brooke & Tamina
Mia Yim & Dana Brooks starts this match off and Brooke gets a headscissors takedown. They each trade for covers and no count for either. Tamina tags herself in as Tamina powers Yim down, but Yim gets her own headscissors takedown. Flapjack for Brooke and one for Tamina. Candice LeRae in and we get stereo dropkicks to send Tamina & Brooke to the floor that sends us to a break.
After the break Yim working Tamina over in the corner with punches. Tamina lands a superkick out of the corner and then a slam. Brooke in and she pounds away for a bit and brings Tamina back into the match. Tamina hooks a chinlock then Tamina pulls Yim down by the hair as she makes a brief comeback. Brooke back into the match and she hits the handspring elbow followed by a bulldog for a two count.
Yim lands a punch and then a dropkick. The race is on and Yim makes the hot tag to LeRae & she hits a missile dropkick to Tamina, who was tags back in. LeRae sends Tamina into Brooke which sends her to the floor. Step up Senton times two! She lands a series of kicks and tries a crossbody, but gets caught. Yim who got the tag, comes in with a neckbreaker. Eat Defeat from Yim and then a Springboard Moonsault from LeRae gets the win for her team.

Back to Elimination Chamber as Austin Theory retains his United States Title thanks to interference from Logan Paul then Edge accepts Theory’s United States Title Open Challenge during the Elimination Chamber Press Conference.
Back to Elimination Chamber as Edge & Beth Phoenix get a win over Judgement Day’s Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley
Back to Raw as we join Edge challenging Austin Theory for the United States Title in progress. Finn Balor is here and he kicks Edge in the head leading to A Town Down and Theory gets another win. Balor then attacks Edge after the match.
