WWE NXT Results – June 15, 2016

We start off with highlights from last week’s NXT Takeover: The End special from Full Sail that saw new tag team champions crowned and the first steel cage match in NXT history.

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Corey Graves and Tom Phillips.

Tom mentions that will we see an interview from Samoa Joe that took place shortly after the steel cage match last week.

Match Number One: The Authors of Pain (with Paul Ellering) versus CJ O’Doyle and Sean Piscitelli

The Authors of Pain go after their opponents and send one to the floor. They connect with knees and a short arm clothesline. He sends him into the turnbuckles and his partner is tagged in and the Authors of Pain double team him. He kicks him and then biels one into the ring onto his partner. They hit a side slam combination and then hit the clothesline and side Russian leg sweep.

Winners: Authors of Pain

Andrade is in the interview area with Cathy Kelley and she asks what is next. Tye Dillinger interrupts and he says last week was a fluke. You are not going to make your name off of him in one week. He asks if Almas is afraid to show if he is less than a perfect ten.

Almas pulls down his suspenders and we go to commercial.

The Authors of Pain and Paul Ellering walk in the back and they keep walking but Paul stops for a moment and then walks past the interviewer.

Match Number Two: Carmella versus Tessa Blanchard

They lock up and Tessa with a side head lock. Carmella with a side head lock of her own. Tessa with an Irish whip but Carmella floats over and gets a near fall with a rollup. Carmella with a head scissors and drop kick. Carmella with a side head lock. Tessa with a forearm but she does not capitalize and Carmella with a leg sweep. Carmella leaps over a leg sweep attempt by Tessa and she moonwalks. Tessa sends Carmella to the mat. Tessa with a forearm and abdominal stretch.

Carmella with elbows but Tessa with a knee. Carmella with a punch and thrust kick. Carmella with a bronco buster followed by a flatline into the Code of Silence and Blanchard taps out.

Winner: Carmella

Tom and Corey discuss the NXT Title Match and we go to an interview with Samoa Joe.

Samoa asks what were you willing to do for the NXT TItle. He hunted his brother and hunted a demon around the world and he answered the question about the most dominant champion. This is the start of his era. He is Samoa Joe and he is the champion. You do not have enough to sacrifice to take this from him.

Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake are with Cathy Kelley and she asks if everything is okay with them. Murphy starts to blame Blake but Blake says they both knew that Bliss was pulling them down. Murphy says they put their history behind them to reclaim what is rightfully theirs. Blake says their first victims will be TM61.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three: Shane Thorne and Nick Miller versus Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy

Blake and Thorne start things off. They lock up and Blake with a wrist lock. Thorne with a reversal into a hammer lock. Blake wtih a reversal but Throne with a wrist lock. Blake with a forearm and wrist lock. Thorne with a kip up and flip into a reversal and snap mare followed by a drop kick. Thorne drop kicks Murphy. Miller tags in and they hit a double shoulder and make a wish. Miller with a side head lock and Thorne tags in and Miller with a belly-to-back suplex.Thorne with a slingshot senton for a near fall. Miller tags in and he holds on to a side head lock when Blake tries to send him off the ropes.

Thorne with a moonsault while Miller hits a fist drop. Blake pulls Miller off the apron and Murphy with a clothesline to Thorne for a near fall. Murphy sends Thorne into the turnbuckles and Blake tags in and gets a near fall. Blake with a knee drop for a near fall. Blake sends Thorne into the turnbuckles and Murphy with a running forearm into the corner for a near fall. Thorne with a forearm but Murphy with a European uppercut. Thorne avoids a belly-to-back suplex and Murphy and Blake accidentally take each other out. Miller tags in and he connects wtih a cross body and punches. Miller Irish whips Blake and hits a clothesline. Miller with a spinebuster and Thorne tags in and they hit Thunder Valley for the three count.

Winners: Shane Thorne and Nick MIller

After the match, Murphy argues with Blake at ringside while TM61 celebrate their victory.

We take a look at the Revival after Takevoer. Wilder says they did what they said they would do. Dawson says they work as a unit and win as a unit. Not one team can make it down the block they live on. They are the first two time champions. They talk heavy and they hit hard.

We are back with footage from the NXT Tour of the United Kingdom and the appearance of Bobby Roode on those shows.

We see footage from last month when Nia Jax injured Bayley in their match last month.

We go to Andrea DeMarco with Bayley. Bayley says she has a doctor’s appointment next week and if she is cleared to return, William Regal will give her a match. Bayley says she is looking forward to getting her title back.

Match Number Four: Tye Dillinger versus Andrade “Cien” Almas

Dillinger with a wrist lock. Almas wtih a reversal. Almas with a handspring back elbow and chop to Dillinger. Almas goes to the apron on an Irish whip and he hits a springboard cross body but Dillinger is able to get to the floor. Almas goes to the floor but Dillinger with a knee to the midsection and they exchange chops. They return to the ring and Dillinger with a kick and punch. Almas is thrown to the floor and Dillinger slams Andrade’s head into the apron.

Almas with a drop kick or two. Dillinger goes to the floor and Almas teases a move to the floor but he springboards back into the ring. Dillinger goes for a clothesline but Almas with a head scissors. Almas teases a dive to the floor but he holds on in the ropes.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Almas with an arm bar but Dillinger with a knee in the corner followed by a chop and forearm. Almas with a kick and sunset flip for a near fall. Almas with an arm drag into an arm bar. Dillinger backs Almas into the corner and he kicks Almas in the midsection. Dillinger with an Irish whip but Almas floats over and Almas with a drop kick. Dillinger pulls Almas to the mat by the hair. Dillinger with forearms and a back breaker for a near fall. Dillinger with knees to the back. Dillinger stomps on the chest after a series of crossfaces.

Dillinger rakes at the face. Dillinger with a chop and forearms followed by kicks and he chokes Almas until the referee pulls him away. Dillinger with a head butt to the lower back followed by a chop. Almas with chops and an elbow in the corner. Almas with a springboard drop kick followed by forearms. Almas with a spinning heel kick followed by a corkscrew slingshot plancha. Almas with a bulldog out of a wheelbarrow position. Almas with a running double knee strike to the head for the three count.

Winner: Andrade Almas

We go to commercial.

We are back and Finn Balor makes his way to the ring.

Finn asks where does he start. The very first time he saw NXT, he was sitting at home in Ireland and he saw Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady. He said he wants to be part of that. Then he came here and as much as he became a part of NXT, NXT became a part of him. NXT became who he is. He was NXT Champion for 292 days.

He says he went to wars here. He went to war against Neville. He went to war with Tyler Breeze. He went to war with Kevin Owens. He went to war with Samoa Joe. Yet, here he stands, not the champion. The question on everyone’s lips is what is next for Finn Balor?

What is next for Finn Balor? The question is WHAT IS NEXT FOR FINN BALOR?

The lights go out and Shinsuke Nakamura’s music plays and he comes to the ring.

Nakamura and Balor shake hands.

Nakamura tells Finn if he wants some, he wants some too. When he was in Japan, he watched Finn. You became the icon of NXT. He knows that Finn is not champion any more, but you are still the icon. If he wants to be the champion, he has to beat the icon. He has to beat . . . YOU!

Finn tells Shinsuke Nakamura that he has answered his question because he knows what is next for Finn Balor . . . Shinsuke Nakamura versus Finn Balor.

They shake hands and we go to credits.
